Don’t get me wrong, if that’s your thing, enjoy.
It’s just not mine.
I love Christmas.
But, like Charlie Brown I get weary of the commercialization. I get weary of the busy schedules. I get weary of trying to figure out what to buy and then more weary in trying to figure out how to pay for it.
Before long, I’ll be looking to Linus to remind me what Christmas is all about.
I realize it will never happen, but I’d not be opposed to stopping the whole gift giving thing.
But, face it, that’s not a hill of receipts I’m willing to die on.
It is safe now to put up the tree and the lights and whatever else you choose.
And, as long as you’re overspending, I have a wish list on Amazon. I’m just trying to let you be blessed in the giving.
In all the hustle and rush of the season, don’t forget to stop and remember what it really is all about.
