At the end of last week, a harmonic convergence brought together a chance to see one of my favorite writers and to hang out with some dear friends from high school.

Danny Thomas was perhaps best known from televisions “Make Room for Daddy” which was also known as The Danny Thomas Show. Thomas also founded St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a leading pediatric treatment and research facility focused on children’s catastrophic diseases, located in Memphis, Tennessee.

Walter Mondale was the 42nd Vice President of the United States (1977–1981), under President Jimmy Carter, a United States Senator for Minnesota (1964–1976). He was the Democratic Party’s presidential candidate in the United States presidential election of 1984.
