Elwes is probably most quoted from his role in The Princess Bride, but my favorite quote is from Robin Hood: Men in Tights:

It’s Monday. Again.
We’ve got a whole new week in front of us. Darn it.
Er…I mean…isn’t that great?
However, we’ve not got much of October left. But just remember that by this time next week Halloween candy will be 50% off.
Personally, I’m between performances of Sweeney Todd. We opened Friday night and did three shows this weekend. We return to Fleet Street this Friday. Join us there.
Also by this time next week, I will be able to get a real haircut. The question of the day (week? month?) is how short we will go.
Work with me here. I’m on overload and some decisions seem monumental.
Sure, as we’ve said about our boys’ choices growing up “It’s only hair.” It will grow back.
And yes, even at 57, I can still say that. But no, I won’t shave my head for your show.
Just in case.

Oh yeah, Monday.
Meh…
But that’s the wrong attitude.
Rather we should face the day and say “Bring it, Monday. I’m here to take names and kick butt.”
Monday will probably ignore us and still suck. But it will get the blood flowing.
It’s all in the attitude of how we face the day.
We’ve all got different struggles. Different chores. Different demons to fight.
Which, on a side note, is the reason we should all be nice to one another. You never know the level of crap someone else has to deal with.
Crawling back, under the covers on a Monday morning is not the solution.
I know because I tried.
Life is full of little unpleasantries. But along they way, we often get to do some really cool stuff.
Even when it’s not cool, there’s coffee.
So, new week, new agenda, new plan.
Let’s do it.
