At Week’s End: Random Thoughts

Today is our last full day on the OBX.

One son is on his way back to college this morning. My wife’s contract job starts back up on Monday. The teenager has two more weeks before home school starts again.

I have scripts to learn, auditions to prepare for, writing deadlines to meet, and decisions to make.

I watched the sunrise today in the company of dolphins, plovers, and sand crabs, and I chuckle that there are those who believe that this just poofed into existence.

It’s been a good week.

I enjoy this writer’s pens, posts and pics. The author’s writing suggests a frame of reference as solid and timeless as a mahogany Hepplewhite high boy. Sentences flow and gleam untila stacatto of deadpan humor cracks th course. No twisted sop here. A realist with aesthetics not wanting in his works. There are ample finds of loveliness (of both the genteel and hilarious varieties) and zest in this author’s moments of living and being human.
