The Tenth Day of Christmas

Ten Lords A-Leaping

Not an Olympic sport. Not a dance competition.

The lords were judges responsible for the law.

The law which began with the Ten Commandments given to Moses on Mt. Sinai.

It’s more than a movie starring Charlton Heston.

It’s the basis for scriptural law, and the basis for our form of government.

Yes, yes it is.

The Ten Commandments.

Get to know them again.

It will do you good.

The Ninth Day of Christmas

We’re up to day nine and already into the new year…but not, I repeat, not, out of the Christmas season.

The nine ladies represent the fruit of the Spirit…love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

We read about the fruit in Galatians.

But the fruit the Holy Spirit produces is love, joy and peace. It is being patient, kind and good. It is being faithful and gentle and having control of oneself. There is no law against things of that kind.

Galatians 5:22-23
