Will Ferrell stars as Buddy the Elf in this modern Christmas classic. Buddy is actually human, but was raised by elves. When he realizes he doesn’t fit in, he doesn’t decide to be a dentist, but he sets off on a new adventure to meet his real Dad.
Okay, this is the last of the non-specifically Christmas movies on our list. But Donovan’s Reef is a movie we can watch over and over, and the Christmas pageant is priceless.
The movie was directed by John Ford, and stars John Wayne, along with Elizabeth Allen, Lee Marvin, Cesar Romero and Dorothy Lamour. What’s not to love with that cast and a setting in French Polynesia.
