Auntie Mame with Rosalind Russell.

Again, it’s not specifically a Christmas movie, but there’s the turning point during the depression when, just before Christmas, Mame meets the (latest) love of her life one Beauregard Jackson Pickett Burnside.

We love the 1958 version with Rosalind Russell.

But equally grand is the 1974 musical version with Lucille Ball (based on the stage play) which introduced the song “We Need a Little Christmas.”

The Polar Express.

Everyone wants to believe. But it’s Christmas Eve and a young boy is not so sure. He boards a magical train heading to the North Pole. Based on the children’s book by Chris Van Allsburg, The Polar Express was filmed in 2004 and starts an animated version of Tom Hanks.
