Second Monday

We’ve had one Monday, yes. But what about second Monday?

Seriously, we’re only one week into 2023 and it’s already been a wild ride. If you haven’t realized that, you haven’t been watching the news.

And you most certainly haven’t been on Twitter.

Enough of that.

Normally by this time, I’m well into my plan to do it all and accomplish so many projects which, of course, we all know will be revised in a week or two.

This year, however, I hit the ground running with my show at Kings Dominion not closing until New Year’s Day.  That being complicated by the onset of a crud that was not the plague but at least was up for an honorable mention.

Combine that with two, count ’em, two major work meetings…which is what I do in my day job. One of which involved a road trip and a cavern on Saturday.

I’m not complaining or making excuses.  That’s just the way things are.  I said at the beginning that we all know plans change.

I did spend some time during the Rose Parade mapping out the projects I want to work on this year.  I have yet to map out a time frame for each.  To be honest, I think I’m still in the figuring out if I really want to do them stage.

We just keep going, and that’s what I’m doing today.

Yesterday began a season of 21 Days of Prayer at our church.  I wrote last week that “pray” was one of my three words for the year.  And this is a great way to begin.  I believe in the power of prayer.  I believe that, even though I may not see great change in the world, I will see a great change in me. And, if we all saw that in ourselves…well…

Andrew Murray said:

Prayer is the natural and joyous breathing of the spiritual life by which the heavenly atmosphere is inhaled and then exhaled in prayer.

Shall we bow our heads?
