The Eleventh Day of Christmas

It’s sometimes difficult to find a group of eleven referenced in the Scripture.

But on that night in which he was betrayed, Jesus dined with his twelve disciples.

Then one, Judas, left to betray him, leaving the eleven.

By the morning they all would forsake him, except for John who stood with Mary, the Mother of Jesus at the cross. Of the remaining eleven, all but John would die a violent death.

Emboldened by his return, they all faced death in the service of the gospel and of their Lord.

Together, they changed the world.
