And, so it begins

It’s the first day of the New Year.

Maybe you were glad to see 2017 go. Maybe you have fond memories of a wonderful year.

Either way, there’s a new year in front of us.

New calendars. New planning books. New opportunities.

I don’t do resolutions, and I’ll be talking more about that this week and as we go along.

I’ll also be talking about some changes in focus with the writing and the other “extracurricular” stuff that I do. You may have noticed there’s a new coat of paint on the blog. I’m still deciding if I like it.

But that can all wait until tomorrow.

Today, for me anyway, is about hanging out in front of the television watching The Tournament of Roses Parade. It’s still a dream to one day see it in person. But, for now, I’m comfortable where I am.

And I didn’t have to put on real pants.

There’s a new year ahead. Let’s make the most of it.

And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.”

Revelation 21:5 (ESV)

Look it up. It will do you good.
