Jim Dale (James Smith), Born August 15, 1935


English actor, singer, songwriter and voice artist Jim Dale was born on this day in 1935.

He is well known for narrating the Harry Potter audiobook series for which he has received two Grammy awards. He’s also known for the ABC series Pushing Daisies.

Dale made his stage debut in 1951. At the age of seventeen and a half, he became the youngest professional commedian on the British music hall stage.
