She was the Great Mother Goddess of the Saxon people in Northern Europe. Similar “Teutonic dawn goddess of fertility [were] known variously as Ostare, Ostara, Ostern, Eostra, Eostre, Eostur, Eastra, Eastur, Austron and Ausos.” Her name was derived from the ancient word for spring: “eastre.”
The association of the term “Easter” evolved (pardon me) over a period of time to be connected with the Celebration of the Resurrection.
So the point is, if you're going to be intolerant of religion, at least know what you're talking about.
And naming them “Spheres?”
Spheres are round. Defined as“any round body or figure having the surface equally distant from the center at all points.”
Eggs are not round.
