You can only be young once. But you can always be immature.

American journalist and author, Dave Barry, was born on this day in 1947.

None of us is as young as we used to be. Yours truly included. Today in fact.

That’s another story.

But we all know that age really has little or nothing to do with maturity.

If you doubt me I’ll sit here a bit whilst you go read your Facebook feed.

Or your Presidential Twitter feed.

Enough of that.

There’s a big difference between remaining young at heart, while not being immature.

Age is, after all, just a number.

For example I find it difficult to believe that I’m already 39.

My birthday. My blog. My math.

Mentally and emotionally I don’t feel my age. Physically is another story.

I’m working on it.

It’s Monday. My regular office is closed. I’m not scheduled to work at the secondary office.

And I’m not inclined to write much more.
