Lipstickgate: Barry O gets snippy about it

Stung by his own words, today The One descended yet again from Mount Baracopolis to grace us with this temper tantrum:

“This is sort of silly season in politics, not that there’s a non-silly season, but it gets sillier,” Obama said. “And it’s a common expression in at least Illinois. I don’t know about New York City. I don’t know what you put lipstick on here.”

Then he dug in even deeper:

“Keep in mind, technically, had I meant it this way, [Palin] would be the lipstick. The failed policies of John McCain would be the pig, just following the logic of this illogical situation,” Obama said. [SOURCE]

He just can’t help himself, can he? As if we’re supposed to believe that calling John McCain a pig is any more acceptable. Although we should note that John McCain spent five years as a P.O.W. so that Barry could have the right to say that.

Virginia Virtucon has a little more on Barry’s crocodile tears: Wahhhhhhhh!!! Baby Barry Crying “ENOUGH!!!” [Relax. "Crocodile Tears" is just an "expression."]

From an eyewitness account posted at FreeRepublic:

I was there, yesterday in Lebanon Virginia. He was taking multiple shots at Governor Sarah Palin and this one and the following attack went low brow. I went there to confront Obama but knew in my heart, as I stood there, I should let him self destruct. There were several other covert operatives and a couple confronted Obama at the very end of the event. If we had been better organized we would have booed his first attack and he may never have uttered the second. I have no regrets and anyone attending his events from our camp needs to be as wise as a serpent so as to preempt any possible backlash sympathy it might generate. It is important to note that though the hall was packed with dem party regulars and Obama devotees, the response was tepid compared to his early events. Only a couple standing ovations were of the entire crowd.

Over at Bearing Drift, Jason Kenney points out that Obama’s speech was apparently plagiarized from a political cartoon: Plagiarizing Change

At least now we know why he thought he needed Joe Biden.

Scott has the actual cartoon: Not an original thought.

The right-wing liberal also has: Do the Democrats’ candidates have an original thought in either of their heads?

We told you yesterday that we thought it was a coordinated campaign attack.

Today, Michelle Malkin posted the following screen shot from the official DNC website.  As of this writing, it’s still there, but here it is, just in case it gets yanked.

H/T Michelle Malkin: Oh, nooooo, they never meant to liken Palin to a pig

So let’s indeed cut out the silliness Mr. Obama. You meant to insult Governor Palin AND Senator McCain.

And you, sir, got caught.
