No Speech Will Fix This

Regardless of which night the President addresses a joint session of Congress, his speech won’t matter. We know already that all he’ll have is to propose more spending, more stimulus.

That didn’t work the last time and it won’t fix the fact that August was the first time since World War II that there were no net job gains for the month.

Economists had been expecting the report to show a net of 75,000 jobs created, an unusually low number considering the US is technically more than two years removed from the end of the last crisis.
