Kentucky Wine? Are They Serious?

Wine Spectator has a quite clever write up on their Final Four Choices.  We like what they say about the Easley Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve 2008 (Butler) vs. Chatham Vineyards Chur

ch Creek Vintner's Blend 2009 (Virginia Commonwealth):

The Indiana Cabernet put forth a great effort, but didn’t have the muscle to keep the Virginia blend from moving on to the finals.

But…for their Finals, they picked a Kentucky Wine over a Virginia Wine.

Are. They. Serious?

A Kentucky Cabernet?

Not that Kentucky doesn't know anything about spirited beverages.  Their best “wine” is brown and comes aged in oak barrels.

And when they started making it, Kentucky was Virginia.

Go Rams!
