For reals this time.
Yes I know that last week I wrote that it already felt like summer.
Summer official arrives at 4:51 p.m. today, even though you’ve been running your air conditioner for weeks.
If you’re looking for a good summer movie, Jaws was released on this day in 1975. It was the highest-grossing film at that time and unofficially the first “summer blockbuster.”
True story. I’ve never watched Jaws all the way through.
Also a true story, I don’t go into the ocean much above my ankles.
How do you know there are sharks in the water?
Go to the beach. If there’s water, there are sharks.
Anybody remember the Virginia Shark Task Force? I mean, they live in the ocean, we’re invading their house.
Best way to avoid a shark attack? Other than not going in the
ocean? Don’t swim at dusk or dawn. Don’t pee in the water.
I didn’t intend to write about sharks. But I went to bed last night with no post.
For some unexplained reason I’ve been awake since 3:00 a.m. So, you’re reading about sharks.
Like you, even though it’s summer, I have a lot going on. I’m in rehearsals for my next play…to be announced soon. I’m juggling the writing projects. I’m sorting out the retirement paperwork. And I’m heading to Southwest Virginia this weekend for mini family reunion.
Even though I focused on the sharks this morning, I have a lot to write about.
Eventually.
We’re gonna need a bigger blog.
