The Blogger Went Down to Georgia

As noted on Monday, I made quick trip to Georgia this week to say goodbye to a dear cousin.

Larry was loved. Larry was respected. He was a leader in his community and in his church.

Perhaps I’ll write more about it at some point. I’ve often said that my cousins and I grew up more like siblings. We were all very close. There are stories. In fact, somewhere around here there’s the basis for a book of stories…all in due time.

The trip was quick. I left after work and drove halfway. Again, more about the trip later. But let’s just say that I’ve always loved traveling in the South. And, I’ve always loved spring in the south.

More later on many fronts because I came back to a buttload of work. Not only my own projects, but when I checked the day job email yesterday things were blowing up. Nothing that can’t be handled. In fact I’m off to handle them as soon as I get this posted.

What’s that meme? Lack of planning on your part does not constitute a crisis on my part. Except when the lack of planning is done, or not done as the case may be, by your overlords.

I have more thoughts. Part of the trip inspired me to do some more writing, and I’ll get to it.

But, I made the silly mistake of deciding to drive all the way home following the funeral. I got home at 3:00 a.m. because I had to make multiple stops just to stay awake. I have dubbed that trip my East Cost Junk Food Tour. Today my arthritis is reminding me why I don’t eat like that on a regular basis.

It’s Thursday. I’m not going to snark about it being 420 day…of course if it helped with the arthritis…no…not today. And that’s all I will say about that.

Did I mention that I’ll be in Georgia again in two weeks? More later.

I’m getting on with the day. I’m regrouping on the work front. I’m regrouping on the nutrition front.

Once more unto the screech, dear friends.

See you tomorrow.

Men Demand Reparations From Women Due To Eve Eating The Apple
The Babylon Bee
“Eve, the ancestor of all women, ruined everything for us,” said Carl McGuinness of Provo, Utah, at a press conference Friday. “We demand payment for the sin and death that rained down upon the human race after the first woman went ahead and took a bite of the forbidden fruit.”

WHAT I’M READING

I set the bar low for my Goodreads challenge this year. Last year I didn’t hit the 25 book mark. Thanks to Audible and a determination to actually spend time reading this year, I’m currently 12 books ahead on this year’s challenge…still 25 books. I’ll hit that. And I may increase the goal. May. For now it feels good to be ahead on something…
