Welcome Friday

On this day in 1912, the British passenger liner RMS Titanic hit an iceberg in the North Atlantic and began to sink.

You know what they say, the first five days after the vacation are always the hardest.

This just in, White Star Line recommends you not skip dessert tonight.

Too soon?

Maybe but you just went to see the next time Titanic is playing on TBS, didn’t you?

Also, there was room for two on that door.

I love the Facebook memories feature. Sometimes I cringe at what I posted when both the Interent and I were young.

Most of the time, the memories are good. But lately, I’ve also been reading the comments.

I’m struck by how many friends with whom I communicated regularly on Facebook are no longer with us.

I’m glad for the time we had together, even if it was online.

I wish we’d had more in person time.

Cherish the moments. Cherish the people.

That’s it. That’s the post.

Let’s get on with the weekend.

ON THIS DAY IN HISTORY

On this day in 1865, U.S. President Abraham Lincoln was shot in Ford’s Theatre by John Wilkes Booth. Lincoln died the following day.

Finally, for now, I can’t believe I went through Holy Week and Resurrection Sunday without posting this favorite.
