The Monday Return

Now after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, led them up on a high mountain by themselves; and He was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light. And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him. Then Peter answered and said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good for us to be here; if You wish, let us make here three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”

Matthew 17:1-4

We are back from a wonderful week at the beach.

I will admit that I wanted to build a tabernacle…or perhaps win the lottery and purchase a multi-million dollar beachfront home. But that’s not the way the world works. We had to come home.

Truthfully, I think we appreciate it more because we get to visit and don’t live there all the time. That’s another post…maybe.

We returned Saturday afternoon, unpacked the Jeep, paid the cat sitter, and picked up the dog from the kennel.

So far, he’s the only one who has been able to rest up from his week away. The wife, the son, and I all have work to do to get back to “normal.”

We did attend a wonderful service yesterday morning at The Chapel, celebrating the resurrection. The event that changed everything.

I did also get the chance to walk around the amusement park yesterday and have my picture taken with the Easter Bunny.

True Story.

I went to the beach with a stack of projects but no pre-established goals of what I had to accomplish.

I read one book, okay a script so it was a short book. But we also listened to books on the way there and back, so my Goodreads challenge is looking very Good-readly if you will.

I did some drawing, more on that soon. I also walked on the beach, ate too much seafood. And, on the last day when it was cold and rainy, the younger offspring and I visited the aquarium.

A good week.

I need to remind myself however, that I need to tag on that extra day for…it’s not recover…but re-entry.

For now, I’m back to the office this morning, so I’ll have to leave you here.

More to come…but you knew that.

Have a great Monday.

He is still Risen!
