I started by getting a permanent crown installed on Monday. The worst of it had already been done. But still, I can find more pleasant ways to start my week.
I’m ending the week with a checkup with my regular doctor. Not related to the summer’s unpleasantness, but I suspect he’ll note the extra poundage that is related to the summer’s unpleasantness.
In the middle of the week I had a meeting for work. Not to talk too much about the day job here, but let’s just say it was a bit painful. Important work, but this particular group seems to be running in circles. I am not empowered to fix that, even if I could.
To complete the week, both the company I ordered from and FedEx tell me that my new Santa suit was delivered to my front porch yesterday. My front porch tells me that it was not. I have claims in with both. Either they delivered it to the wrong address and that will be corrected, or they delivered it to the right address and it was stolen from our front porch.
I’m not fond of either option and I suspect that’s $400 I’ll never see again.
Other than that Mrs. Lincoln…
Needless to say, I need a weekend.
Honestly, it wasn’t such a bad week even with all of those things happening. Yes, if my package was stolen that will truly suck and I can’t afford to try to buy another suit this season.
I just hope Tom Hanks isn’t wearing it on some remote desert island.
In spite of it all, I know that I am blessed.
I have the things I need, if not the things I want. My health is coming back, perhaps more slowly than I would have liked, and I also found out this week that I’m not yet quite up to carrying bags of gravel and/or mulch. My family is here and mostly healthy.
And the dog’s…um…digestive issues,…finally settled down.
So, I’ll try to be thankful for the blessings in my life.
That helps to get through the rest of it.
Have a good weekend.
I plan to.
