I wasn’t going to post today because it’s getting harder to do so without whining.
But I couldn’t disappoint my loyal fan.

It’s Monday, and I’m down to my last three treatments. There will be much rejoicing in the land.
Not to burden you with how things are going, but the last two weekends have been rough.
Friday after treatment and after work, I mowed the front yard.
I had to before the neighbors showed up with torches and pitchforks. Never mind that showing up with mowers and rakes would take less energy.
And also not to worry, the offspring is taking care of the backyard.
But after a week of treatment, it was a bit much. I’ll leave it at that.
After a very rough Friday night, the problem was that the younger offspring and I had plans, and purchased tickets, to attend Grande Carnivale at Kings Dominion.
You know I love the park. You know I’d be working there on weekends if I could. And, most of you know that it’s part of my retirement planning.
Planning what was delayed thanks to COVID and cancer. But I still have a specific date on my calendar.
Against what might have been my better judgment, we went on Saturday. It might have been a bit ambitious for my first real time out in over a year and a half.
I mean, not only because of the treatment, which is causing enough issues of its own. But I hadn’t been in the midst of a crowd like that since the pandemic began. I’d sort of forgotten what crowds could be like.
It was kind of sad to be reminded.
But Grande Carnivale is an amazing event. It runs through Sunday if you get the chance to go.
I wanted to go to see the shows and see some friends performing and working there. I got to do that, and it was good.
All that to say that I crashed yesterday and didn’t write this post. I’m getting it done in a bit of a hurry on Monday morning.
I have three treatments left. Three songs left on my Facebook playlist count down.
I promise to post the whole list on Friday.
And that’s it. That’s all I’ve got for today.
I’ve scanned the brain cells for a pithy observation to close this post. The results came back negative.
Hopefully soon, so will other results.
