After writing yesterday’s insomnia induced post at 2:00 a.m. felt a little smug about what I was planning for today.
Then I did a little research and found out I had the date wrong.
There I was last night all happy as Larry, thinking that all I had to do was piece everything together and then I could go binge watch The Simpsons and work on other projects.
But there was no quick cartoon solution this time.
Oops.
So, once again I went to bed without a post for today.
Sorry dear readers (both of you), whilst I slept fitfully, at least I slept. Around midnight I told myself “No, I’m not getting up to write.”
So, excuse this hastily crafted together post.
Brilliance. Delayed.
Fiction writers often talk about their characters not behaving.
In other words, you have a story, you have a plot and you know exactly what’s going to happen.
Until a character gets a mind of his own and goes off in a direction you didn’t expect.
Like this post.
Writing is easy.
Writing well is hard.
I’ll get to the post I had planned.
Just not today, Satan.
