Recaffeinated Mondays: There’s got to be a morning after

On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came to the tomb, bringing the spices they had prepared. They found the stone rolled away from the tomb. They went in but did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.
Luke 21:1-3

It’s Monday. The tomb is still empty.

It’s been a roller coaster of a week for the followers of Jesus.

Parading into Jerusalem thinking “this is it.” Then having it all fall apart just a few days later.

Spending Saturday in fear and hiding, still not understanding that the revolution he came to lead was not an overthrow of government, but an overthrow of the heart.

When he came back to them, his followers began to understand.

They responded by giving their lives and the world was changed.

It’s Monday. The tomb is empty.

How will you respond?
