The Darkest Day

One of his closest associates had betrayed him.

One of his closest friends had denied him.

The others abandoned him in his darkest hour.

Later they would stand watching, helpless and afraid, as he was raised on the cross.

He knew what was coming. He knew what they would do to him.

Still, he chose to walk that road.

He knew what it meant.

And, he knew he had to get to Sunday.
