Recaffeinated Mondays: A Little Foolishness

“He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose.”

Jim Elliot
1927-1956

For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

1 Corinthians 1:18

It’s April 1. April Fool’s Day.

My shoe’s untied. Now, get over it.

When last we met, I was telling you about my week with the flu. I think I was also telling you about how I was planning to get back to writing here every day.

The good news is that the flu is over. The death rattle cough lingers, but it’s getting better. Although, the pollen hasn’t helped.

But it’s Monday and there’s nothing to be gained by complaining.

It’s also the beginning of a new month. In spite of what I hope will be short-lived shennanigans it’s time for a fresh start.

Yes, that’s another fresh start. Is that a problem?

I could look back at the lost time of March…a show that opened and closed, a business trip, and let’s not forget the aforementioned week lost to the flu.

It’s springtime in Virginia. Flowers (and pollen) are in bloom. The temperatures are warmer.

Note to self: You may need a pedicure before dress flip flop season. Unfortunately, it looks like we’ll have another summer without a week at the beach. But, it’s all good.

I’m working on the writing. There’s progress. Just not progress that is visible here on the blog. But here are a few things you need to read. As always, read them with an open mind.

This story you’re not seeing in the main stream media. Read it and ask yourself why.
