Don’t Hold Back

Do it big, do it right and do it with style.

– American dancer and actor, Fred Astaire, was born on this day in 1899 (died 1987).

Look, if you’re going to commit to doing something, commit to doing it right, and big, and with all the style you can muster.

Even if, like we talked about yesterday, you might fail, don’t let that hold you back.

What’s that line from Toy Story? “This isn’t flying! This is falling with style!” or something like that…

I digress.

In other words, don’t do anything half-assed. Use your whole ass.

Even if it’s big.

Oops. Was that my outloud voice?

We all have things we want. We all have things we want to do. We all have things we want to accomplish.

Nothing less than giving it our best is going to get us there.

So, come on. What is it that you want?

Do you have a plan to get there?

Are you willing to commit to making it happen?

Take a deep breath, listen to the beat, and tapdance your way out onto that stage.

Don’t give up.

Make it happen.

What “it” is for you is different than for me. And that’s okay.

I’m just here to cheer you on.

Make it big. Make it splashy. Add your own style.

I can’t wait to see what you accomplish.

In other news, American country singer, “Mother” Maybelle Carter (mother of June Carter Cash) was born on this day in 1909 in Nickelsville, Virginia (died 1978).
