How YOU doin’?

American actor, Matt LeBlanc, best known for portraying Joey Tribbiani on Friends, was born on this day in 1967.

It’s always appropriate to check in with where you are with regards to your goals, your health, your finances, your blog posts…all of that.

Here we are nearing the end of July.

How are those New Year’s resolutions getting along?

Oh. He went there.

Not to worry. Just take my advice, don’t make resolutions. Just make a determination to try to do a little better every day.

I’m nearing the end of the thirteen weeks outlined in my first Self-Journal.

I will not be hitting all of my goals.

My yard will not win any garden week prizes.

The scales still lie.

The script is still being edited.

But, I ain’t stopping.

Truth be told, I’ve been off kilter for the past week or so. Chalk it up to the consequences of working seven days a week.

It’s a temporary situation. If you follow me on Instagram, you know that my it’s my #oxinaditch that’s giving me this schedule.

This too shall pass.

They say what doesn’t kill us makes us stronger. I should be bench pressing a house.

I digress.

Look, no matter what television or Facebook tries to tell us, no one has it all together. No one’s life is perfect.

Even those people posting their cruise pictures, or their beach pictures or their “I lost eleventy-three hunnert pounds” pictures have problems to deal with.

And even those people aren’t reaching all of their goals. Life just doesn’t work that way.

Still, that doesn’t mean we give up. If we miss a goal, if we fall down, if the troglodytes at our jobs get in the way (that was directed at noone in particular…honest), we still need to get up and move forward.

So, maybe the goal is a little further in the distance. It’s still out there, and the only way we’ll get there is to keep moving.

Where YOU goin’?
