If it’s Tuesday, this must be Random

One cannot and must not try to erase the past merely because it does not fit the present.

Ukrainian-Israeli educator, politician and 4th Prime Minister of Israel, Golda Meir, was born on this day in 1898 (died 1978).

Oh, there’s just so much that can be read into that statement. Especially if you know Israeli history.

Or, if you know Richmond history, if you get my drift.

Not having that argument. Just go read some history and think about it.

There was a distinct point in time last night when the history of writing this post was having a direct impact on your reading it today. In other words, the history of the post didn’t really fit with having a post for you to read today.

I digress.

Summer approaches and the spring rain and thunderstorms are upon us. If I have to bale my backyard grass I want farm subsidies.

Evenings at home are interesting these days. I have no rehearsals to go to. That’s a good thing, really it is. At the same time, after nearly a year and a half, it’s a bit weird. No, I didn’t have rehearsals every day over that time but I always knew when the next show was.

I don’t currently know when or what that is. And, that’s okay.

I’m focusing instead on the writing.

In theory I’m also focusing on the health and the yard. But let’s not pick nits.

For the record, no Thin Mints were consumed during the writing of this post. Darn it.

It has nothing to do with the emergency supplies being depleted.

Here’s the challenge I face: trying to write something pithy or entertaining every day without delving into politics or current events or even Game of Thrones.

Other than to say this about GOT: It’s Bobby Ewing in the shower all over again.

You know I’m right.

If you’ve read this far, I apologize for rambling today. Let me make it up with this:

American singer and actor, Bing Crosby, was born on this day in 1903. (died 1977)

I read another post about GOT and was startled into reality when they referred to it as a “mostly dark and despairing show”, I mean I recognize that it’s not lighthearted but I suppose I’ve been so immersed in it that I failed to notice how little hope there ever is for anyone.
