Obligatory Birthday Post

No, this is not my view today. All I will say about that is that, at 57, the view is changing again.

I woke up this morning earlier than intended. Thanks in part to the decades, but also thanks to the cat who
obviously hadn’t eaten in thirteen minutes. He was so ungrateful he just stared at me when I asked him to make
the bed while I was in the bathroom.

This is my second attempt at this post. Three times in the last 24 hours my PC has suffered the Blue Screen of
Death. Of course it comes at the most inconvenient time for the need of a new PC or repairs to this one.

Did I mention that it’s my birthday up until midnight? There are probably even sales going on.

I digress.

I’ve a lot to think about this weekend. I’ve also a lot of editing and yard work to think about.

But, suffice it to say that change is coming.

No, I won’t yet elaborate, because the details are not clear. When they are, you’ll know.

For some inspiration this weekend, I’ve made it a goal to watch The Movies. As I said on Facebook, if you don’t
know what I mean when I say The Movies, then you don’t really know me.

Here’s a quote to help you out:

Frodo: I wish none of this had happened.
Gandalf: So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what
to do with the time that is given to us.

I’ve been a Tolkien geek since high school. I love the books. I loved The Movies when they came out.

I love seeing good triumph over evil, especially when the hero is the most unlikely of suspects.

It’s my birthday, I don’t have to talk about the Hobbit movies.

Sigh…whilst writing this I got the Blue Screen of Death again. Seriously, stores are open.

But, enough of this. I have things to do. Cake to eat.

For dinner tonight a good friend is coming over to join the family in a mini-celebration. It wasn’t what we
originally planned but, like I said, things are changing.

And, that’s okay.

What’s also okay is this Super Cut from The Music Man.

It makes my birthday happy.
