Alas, I fear that it’s not.
Larry Sabato writes in Politico:
Hillary Clinton and Jeb Bush may not agree on much, but they surely recognize they need each other in 2016. Only the nomination of both for president by their respective parties makes the dynasty issue go away.
Personally, I’d just prefer Hillary and Jeb to just go away.
No more Clinton’s, no more Bushes.
Don’t make me get back into politics just to work against this happening.
I’ve written before about this. I like Jeb Bush, I really do. But two Presidents with name Bush are enough. Barbara agrees. Truth is, out of the three Jeb is probably the one who should have been president. That’s no disrespect intended for either George H.W. Bush or George W. Bush. Both are fine, honorable men. Both were good presidents. Yes they were, And both had challenges and missteps.
Seriously, let’s find another family.
It doesn’t make me feel any better to know that the people pushing for Jeb Bush in 2016 come from the same set of advisers to John McCain in 2008 and Mitt Romney in 2012. Yeah, I supported both, but I had to be convinced to do so. If the mainstream GOP plays that same hand in 2016, expect them to lose. Again.
As for Hillary, I would have preferred her in 2008 to the current occupant. Yeah, I said that. Deal with it.
But, we don’t need another Clinton in the White House either.
It’s a big country, people. Find somebody else.
