The people have spoken. They may be seriously misguided, but they have spoken.
The world has not ended. Perhaps a few political careers have. A few more probably should.
But, we’re still here. This was not, after all, the most important election of our lifetime.
God’s still in control. Life goes on. Some parts of it may suck a little more.
I gave up campaigns a long time ago (I didn’t really work professionally for that many). So I don’t have to be revising my resume with a hangover today.
Even if you are. Even if you are stunned by defeat (really, if you were perhaps you’re in the wrong business).
Even when hope seems lost, there’s got to be a morning after. And, this is it.
I’m not really familiar with Virginia politics (aside from what you post), but I heard today on the radio that Cuccinelli (sp?) was outspent by millions, that the Republican party didn’t help him because he is a Tea Party candidate, that his campaign repeatedly asked Gov. Chris Christie to come campaign for him and he refused, and that he would have won had there not been a 3rd party candidate to siphon off the votes. It was even suggested that the Deomocrats were in favor of this 3rd party candidate running.
