My Last Comment about the 2013 Election

It was the campaign even God couldn’t sink. But, don’t blame him.

Truth be told, my friend Shaun took a bit of the wind out of my sails with regard to this post when he wrote today, “OK – *NOW* the Race is Tightening.”

Is he right? I don’t know. I think perhaps this one has been over for some time. Should the Republicans go down in defeat tomorrow as I still suspect they just might there will be a lot of finger pointing. Some of it has already begun. Of course, many of those pointing the fingers are part of the problem.

I’m not going to analyze that here. Let the people who get paid the mega-bucks (win or lose) do that.  I never got paid the big bucks and I really don’t want to play anymore.

Still, two years ago no one would have imagined this race being in this position with Democrats poised to win, and win significantly. What’s more, they’re doing it on a campaign that has made as a central theme “Republicans won’t let me kill my baby.”

And, may God have mercy, it’s working.

One good thing is that, for a while at least, the incessant commercials and phone calls and emails will stop.

To many on the right, it’s time to accept the reality, put on your long pants, and go down with the ship.

And some of you really shouldn’t bother resurfacing.
