Do you know?

Diana Ross was born on this day in 1944.

Theme from Mahogany (Do You Know Where You’re Going To) was a #1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1976. It was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Song in 1975 losing to “I’m Easy” from Nashville.

On a side note, I graduated from high school in 1976 and lobbied for this song to be our graduation theme but was voted down because of the “bad grammar” in the song.

Not that I’m bitter or anything, but this was still the better choice.
