If you were at all moved by the Kony 2012 video…

This should infuriate you and call you to real action:

Late Friday afternoon, Obama issued a presidential memorandum waiving penalties under the Child Soldiers Protection Act of 2008 for Libya, South Sudan, and Yemen, penalties that Congress put in place to prevent U.S. arms sales to countries determined by the State Department to be the worst abusers of child soldiers in their militaries. The president also partially waived sanctions against the Democratic Republic of the Congo to allow some military training and arms sales to that country.
The Cable: Obama waives sanctions on countries that use child soldiers

This is reprehensible.

Don’t cry and pat yourself on the back because you shared some YouTube video on Facebook. Or because you even donated money and got some posters or bumper stickers, which are probably still stuck in a drawer somewhere.

This action was taken by the President of the United States: [Presidential Memorandum]

Jo Becker is advocacy director for the children’s rights division at Human Rights Watch. She told The Cable, “After years of foot-dragging, Congo is close to signing a U.N. action plan to end its use of child soldiers…But in other countries with child soldiers, including South Sudan, Libya, and Yemen, the U.S. continues to squander its leverage by giving military aid with no conditions.”

In a little more than thirty days, you can take action and vote this administration out of office.

It takes a little more effort than cut and paste or point and click. It takes some honest conviction and guts.

And it takes logging off the computer, getting up off your backside and going to the polls on November 6 to vote for Mitt Romney.

If you shared the Kony 2012 video and do otherwise, you’re a hypocrite.
