Today is Constitution Day: Go Read It

On this day in 1787, the Constitutional Convention signed the U.S. Constitution. September 17 has been recognized as “Constitution Day” by the United States Congress.

The Preamble to The Constitution reads:

We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

Today would be a good day for every American, starting with the President, to re-read, or read for the first time the Constitution of the United States.
