I need some beach reading advice…

We leave for the beach next Sunday.

I. Can’t. Wait.

But, unlike last year, I’m not prepared with a reading list. Yes, I intend to work on my novel(s). But I also need to be reading.

I’m currently working on Robert Caro’s “Master of the Senate.” His work on the life of Lyndon Johnson is fascinating, but not a quick read. I hope to either finish it before, or at the beach.

I’ve also read in the past few weeks, The Hunger Games, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter and Stephen King’s Bag of Bones.

I’m beginning to think I need to read something where people don’t kill each other for food, drink each other’s blood or get haunted by ghosts trying to kill off the offsprings of their murderers.

Last year, I had a pretty ambitious list in which I made a pretty good dent.

I either need to hit up the library or book store this week. But what do I look for?

I suppose I could scan through my Goodreads list. Probably should.

But, I’m open to suggestions.
