American singer Tony Bennett, know for his signature song “I Left My Heart in San Francisco” was born on this day in 1926.
Bennett has won sixteen Grammy Awards and has received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. He is the recipient of two Emmy Awards. In 2005 he was recognized as a Kennedy Center Honoree.
