American recording artist Linda Ronstadt has earned eleven Grammy Awards, two Academy of Country Music Awards, an Emmy Award, and ALMA Award, numerous United States and internationally certified gold, platinum and multiplatinum albums. She has also received Tony and Golden Globe nominations.
Ronstadt has over 30 solo albums, 15 compilations or greatest hit albums.
She grew up in Arizona and emerged in the 1960s and established her herself in folk rock and country rock music. She recorded her first solo album “Hand Sown…Home Grown” in 1969. She was the most successful female singer of the 1970s and at one time was the highest paid woman in rock music.
