Lester Raymond Flatt, June 19, 1914 – May 11, 1979

Lester Flatt was a bluegrass musician, guitarist and mandolinist. Together with Earl Scruggs he was part of The Foggy Mountain Boys, also known as “Flatt and Scruggs.” Flatt and Scruggs were regular guests on The Beverly Hillbillies, and peformed the theme song, “The Ballad of Jed Clampett.”
