Fitness: Day 2

So I went to the gym yesterday as planned. I got there a little later than I wanted to, so I ended up doing only 45 minutes on the treadmill. Unfortunately the 2 week renovation of the pool has enter the 6th week.

I even managed to speed it up to a run for a bit. My knees didn’t seem to mind. My hip is still a little angry.

I thought I was kicking this all off from a pretty good position. After all, last Thursday I weighed in at a couple of pounds less than I thought. So, I’d be ahead today right?

No so much.

I weighed in at about 6 lbs. higher than expected. How many calories do swear words burn?

I don’t get it. I mean I know it was a long weekend, but I was pretty good.

Okay, so I had dinner with friends on Friday night…and there was a good bit of grape. But the rest of the weekend was okay.

Except for the burgers on Saturday. And maybe Red Lobster on Sunday.

But last night, even though it was Mexican I had chicken and vegetables…they went really well with the margarita.

Oh. [insert calorie burning swear word here]

So, I’ve done better today. I didn’t take any sweets to work. And the after dinner ice cream bar was a Healthy Choice.

Tomorrow, I’ll get to the gym early enough to do a full hour on the treadmill. And I’ll eat better.

Tomorrow’s other focus is water. I’m not drinking enough.
