I just finished re-watching the entire series of the Battlestar Galactica
It took a couple of weeks to get through the whole series, watching one or two, sometimes three episodes a night.
I found it fascinating again. Not so much for the science-fiction aspect, although that was certainly well done. But for the dramatic editing, the script and most of all the music.
I did get tired of the use of the word “frak.” No, it doesn’t offend me. Yes, I know what it replaces. But good grief, everybody says it? And that often? I think not.
Still, I put Battlestar Galactica
At one point when they were in their first runs, I was watching all three series. That’s when I started limiting my television.
Most nights, I’m at the computer, writing, editing, surfing and sometimes just wasting time. But I’m always multitasking with at least two computer screens running, my Droid and work Blackberry charging nearby and my Daytimer (I’m old-fashioned that way) open with the day’s notes to make sure I get everything done.
So I don’t always have my eye on the screen. That’s why the music of Battlestar Galactica
When the survivors reached the planet they were to call Earth (and if that’s a spoiler I can’t help it, since it’s been off the air for more than two years), I distinctly heard the Galactica theme from the original series. Nice touch.
Trouble is now, what do I watch next?
