Saturday Morning Randomness
If my people, who are called by my name,
will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and
turn from their wicked ways,
then will I hear from heaven and will forgive
their sin and will heal their land.2 Chronicles 7:14 (NIV)
It’s the first Saturday of the new year and the last Saturday of vacation. Not planning to wander far from the homestead today. Sitting at my desk where I can look out on the back yard and think about gardening projects for the spring. I’ve got tulips and daffodils that, thanks to Thanksgiving rain and Christmas snow, didn’t make it into the ground that will go into pots today.
Maybe a movie, maybe a board game. Maybe some focused time sorting out partially completed writing projects.

I’m not sure yet just what I’m going to do with this message. But some things are going to change.
Stay tuned.
I would not deprive you of the blessing
In addition to having today off for Columbus Day (or Conqueror of Indigenous Peoples Day for those so inclined) I’ve taken the rest of the week off to get some work done around the house.
I’ve just taken a break from priming the mailbox and the front porch. And I just want to say this.
It may be that the Lord is speaking to some of you and encouraging you to pay to have vinyl railings installed on my house. I just don’t know where your heart is.
All I’m saying is that, should that be the case, I would not stand in the way of your blessing.
…remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’
Acts 20:35
Have a blessed day.
