The stupid party strikes again: “The Change You Deserve”
by Michelle Malkin
Oh, dear Lord. The hapless Republican establishment has gone and made a public embarrassment of itself again. Can your hearts take much more of this?
In a memo to be sent to Republican members today, the leadership hints at a new slogan building on the change message that has already been shown to have political resonance with a public unhappy with the nation’s direction…“Through our “Change You Deserve” message and through our “American Families Agenda,” House Republicans will continue our efforts to speak directly to an American public looking for leaders who will offer real solutions for the challenges they confront every day,” said the memo prepared for lawmakers.
I’ve got a clue for you. How ’bout BEING leaders who will offer real solutions for the every day challenges?
And Michelle is right. Barack Obama has been endlessly chanting “Change, Change, Change” which is meaningless because he remains unable to define change from what, to what.
How many bazillions of dollars (that I can promise you I didn’t send) did the party spend coming up with that?
How about a list of things Republicans stand for? How about a list of real solutions Republicans can offer for every day challenges?
Ooops, sorry. Didn’t mean to embarrass you.
You’ve got that covered all by yourselves.

Even though I may lean Republican, this is why I probably will never label myself a Republican… just like in a recent 37signals blog post that a blogger friend shared, you don’t create a real culture in the Republican party like this; it’s just fake and this is clear. Like you’re saying, really stand up for some things and stick to them. You can’t simply talk about it – just do it. Eh – this is why I don’t follow politics. Too much talk; too little action it seems.
