Is there a place for Virginia bloggers in the RPV?

Jason has an excellent article up at Bearing Drift today regarding the RPV’s efforts, so to speak, with new media.

Jason thinks they’re getting it wrong.  Many of us agree.

Take some time and read the discussion.  It could be particularly helpful to those who “don’t read the blogs.”

  • I read an article, i do not remember where, maybe Huff Post or Salon, about the need for Republicans to move more into online technology in campaigning. This may be true, but is NOT the answer to all their problems. i am NO longer a Republican and identify as an Independent now. i voted for Obama and all dems even though i know they are not perfect and will fail us all. BUT, they do not use religion and social issues such as abortion, gay rights, and adoption as wedge issues. They have a a more holistic approach to faith and politics and are more inclusive. UNTIL the Republican party as a whole recognizes that the root of their problem is fundamentalist Christianity, and make a change, whether that means a split or some kind of consensus, then i think the Republican party could be on its way to extinction. I hope its present form is btw! i think some up and coming Republicans such as Jindal, Crist, and Pawlenty recognize this. BUT, can they get enough support to lead a revolution within their own party? We shall see.
