I’m not foolin’ around

Lord, what fools these mortals be!
Puck, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Act III. Scene II.

Last night I opened my final mainstage show for the 2015-2016 season (details below). That sounds a lot more arrogant than it really is.

But, it’s been a long run of rehearsals, productions, and performances. More than 15 consecutive months in fact. My break is a mere two weeks away.

It’s time. I’ve already told you that. I need to regroup and spend some time focusing on the writing.

And reading. But that’s another story.

There’s a bit of irony in the fact that the character I’m currently portraying is a writer who is having trouble finishing a script.

It’s a new month and a new beginning. Sure, it’s a Friday, but work with me.

I’m taking a bit of a new focus and am making a promise, both to myself and to you my faithful reader (someday soon to be readers…I hope), that I’ll be posting here faithfully on weekdays.

Don’t ask me what I’ll talk about. It will be a little about life, a little about current events, a little…or probably a lot…about me.

It won’t always be a long read, some days it may be. I shall attempt to make it pithy.

Get your mind out of the gutter, I do not have a lisp.

Maybe you’ll find my writing interesting. Maybe not. Maybe you’ll tell your friends about it. Maybe not.

Maybe you’ll hit the tip jar or buy crap from my CafePress store. Maybe not.

Maybe you’ll love me so much that I become a bazillionaire and can retire in Aruba.

Or maybe not and I’ll move on to the next iteration of this blog.

This blog is a journey, not a destina….no, that’s too sappy even for me.

Even worse, I could call it a process.

Reality is this blog is my home on the web. It’s where I write. It’s where I expound brilliantly on life, the world, and the sorry@$$ condition of my yard.

I can’t promise I’ll always be brilliant…no wait…yes I can. What I can’t promise is whether nor not I’ll always be writing about something that interests you.

So, let’s just say I’ll promise to be here.

I hope you will be too.

Look for me on stage:
