Now we wait to see how the public reacts. Will Virginia editorial boards, many of which scolded Mitt Romney for not releasing more extensive returns, jump on the bandwagon and call for McAuliffe to be more forthcoming? And how will rank and file Republicans embrace this line of attack? Especially those that have spent the last year defending their presidential nominee from the same type of onslaught.
