Ryan Nobles makes a good point at Decision Virginia
Now we wait to see how the public reacts. Will Virginia editorial boards, many of which scolded Mitt Romney for not releasing more extensive returns, jump on the bandwagon and call for McAuliffe to be more forthcoming? And how will rank and file Republicans embrace this line of attack? Especially those that have spent the last year defending their presidential nominee from the same type of onslaught.
We had months of Democrats and news outlets hounding Mitt Romney. McAuliffe has himself said that candidates should release their tax returns.
Releasing a “summary” just isn’t good enough.
McAuliffe knows that. But he’s hoping you don’t.
