June Lockhart made her acting debut in a 1938 version of The Christmas Carol in which her parents, Gene and Kathleen Lockhart played Mr. and Mrs. Bob Cratchit. She played supporting roles in films that included Meet Me in St. Louis and Sergeant York.

But we came to love her when in 1958 she replaced Cloris Leachman in the role of Ruth Martin on the long-running TV show Lassie. She played Dr. Maureen Robinson on Lost in Space and later appeared as Dr. Janet Craig on Petticoat Junction after the death of Bea Benaderet.

She continues to act in TV and film roles.
