So okay, it’s not a traditional Christmas movie. But the opening in Granny Wendy’s house has a Christmas feel. More importantly for me the first time I saw it was on Christmas Day in 1991. It was a particularly stressful Christmas time and the wife and I took the opportunity to get away from family stress for a few hours. It’s one of the favorite movies I like to watch around the holidays.
Plus, it’s got Dustin Hoffman, Robin Williams, our very favorite Maggie Smith, and, if you know where to look, Glenn Close.
